The first period of the 2010 international season for the Argentine Men Team is over and now comes a new very international commitment, the Italian Men World Championship, that will take place from September 25th to October 10th. For this competition, with Argentina in Pool D together with Venezuela, Mexico and USA (playing the first round in the city of Reggio Calabria, the head coach, Javier Weber already named 16 players that will start working next August 5th.

With most junior players on this new stage several of the players that participated at the 2010 FIVB World League have also been included. Weber also named three of the 2008 Junior South American Championship and Bronze Medal winners of the 2009 World Junior Men Championship: Pablo Crer, Cristian Poglajen and Franco Lopez, all playing mates of Facundo Conte and Nicolás Uriarte in this period.

The complete roster includes 3 setters, 2 opposite players, 5 wing spikers, 4 middle players and 2 liberos. All belong to the original 22 player's roster that Weber made official at the beginning of the season including the names for the FIVB World League and the Italian World Championship.

“We will give the young players the value of the team in this new period that includes the World Championship. They already showed their value, hierarchy and it is time that they have the chance of being part of the Argentine Men Team” expressed the coach Javier Weber.

With reference to the changes in the team, Weber pointed out: “I was always clear with reference to the moments of the players, I always emphasized that the Argentine Men Team will always include the best players and I consider that at this point, these are the best players to perform the values of a team on the long run, continuing with the team I aspire, not only on the technical and tactical fact but also in valorassessment of a system for this moment and for an immediately future”.

Not only promoting Junior players but Weber also bet on the good level of Mariano Giustiniano, of great performance with the U 23 National Team in Brazil during the year 2009 and at the Pan American Cup during this year, where Argentina played the final match against USA.

“We settled a 22 players list at the start of the season and we advise that each one of them would have his chance. That was very clear and we always managed the 22 names. The future is now, we will bet for those players that at their age level showed the best international level. The first part of the international season is over and it was not a good one. I am rin charge of that without any questioning. Now I have to decide thinking what is best for the team and for Argentine Volleyball. The players that participated until now gave the best they can but not all are now in the roster" finished saying the coach.

Argentina will return to training next Thursday at Cenard facilities for the World Championship with a very demanding training that will include tours and four-team competitions, all that will be confirmed very soon.
