THE ARGENTINE SENIOR'S MEN TEAM MOVED TO OSAKA TO PLAY THE SECOND ROUND OF THE FIVB WORLD CUP

Osaka, Japan, November 22, 1011 - The Argentine Senior's Men Team moved to Osaka for the second round of the FIVB World League. On Wednesday at 8.30 the team coached by Javier Weber moved to the new venue, from Nagoya, where they played the first three matches with a record of 2-1. Nos they will face first Cuba at 11.00 Thursday morning (23.00 Wednesday night Argentine Time) and then Iran.

Argentina faced Cuba recently at the debut of both teams at the Pan-American Games in Mexico 2011 in a terrific match won by the Cuban team after a hard tie-breaker. Both teams now stand one next to the other at this Japan World Cup, Cuba stands fourth with 6 points and Argentina, fifth with 5.

Argentina started this competition defeating Serbia 3-0 to follow v the host team, Japan 3-2. They were overcome by Poland 1-3 in a very levelled match, all in Nagoya, their first stop.

Now they will play the next two matches at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium. Iran, the second rival also won two of the three matches played and his coached by the Argentine born coach, Julio Velasco and Cichello, another Argentina coach as his Assitant.
