Etchegaray spikes overcoming Azaad blocking in the final match

Mar de Ajo, Argentina, January 29, 2012 - This afternoon, Pablo Suárez and Santiago Etchegaray became the first title holders of Partido de la Costa when they defeated Ian Mehamed-Julián Azaad 2-0 (21-8, 21-16) in the 3rd. stop of the 2012 Argentine National Beach Volleyball Circuit. The Bronze Medal was won by Martín Conde-Facundo Del Coto. The circuit leaves now the Atlantic Ocean moving on the following stop to Entre Ríos Province.

Sunday's last day in Mar de Ajó showed great volleyball in a beautiful sunny summer day. After the losers round qualified for Semi-Finals Conde-Del Coto and Peréz-Sánchez, time for the semi-finals arrived. Mehamed Azaad qualified 2-0 and then came one clash that has been seen since the season started, Suarez-Etchegaray v Conde-Del Coto. But this semi-final had little to do with both Mar del Plata matches. Suare-Etchegaray played an outstanding match winning their final place by 2-0 (21-10, 21-14).

For the joy of the audience prior to the final match the Argentine Women Team for the Continental Cup played an exhibition match with the four players showing their utmost as training for their 2012 London Olympic dream. Ana Gallay-Virginia Zonta overcame Luciana Forguez-Gabriela Albano, but with such good volleyball for a friendly match the result does not count.

Then, Conde-Del Coto v Pérez-Sánchez played their third place match and the team of Mar del Plata won 25-20 to give place to the most important match of the weekend. The final.

Now Feb. 3rd-5th are the dates settled for the 4th stop at Entre Ríos city of Cerrito, where action and party will go together on one double-gender stop of the Argentine National Circuit and three province competitions.
