SUÁREZ-ETCHEGARAY WON THE FIFTH STOP OF THE ARGENTINE NATIONAL BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOUR IN CORDOBA

Great sttop in General Cabrera, Córdoba

General Cabrera, Argentina, February 12, 2012 - A new beach volleyball outstanding party with great organization was held in this Cordoba city during the weekend. The fifth stop of the Argentine National Beach Volleyball Tour was won by the first ranked Argentine Team, from Mar del Plata, Pablo Suárez and Santiago Etchegaray, that defeated in the final match a new team, Gabriel Fernández and Luis Quiroga 2-0 (21-14, 21-15) winning the David Funes Cup in front of a crowded complex, built for this event in the city.

For the Cordoba Fernández and the Buenos Aires Luis Quiroga it was their first experience together and of course, their first final match. For Suarez-Etchegaray their fourth with two titles already during this season.

Quiroga's last final match was on the South American Championship stop in the year 1998 together at that time with Wenceslao Frascaroli. Fernandez played its first final national match in Santa Fe in the 5th 2011 year National Tour stop, together with Juan Manuel Andreoni.

The Bronze Medal was won by the team of Zorrilla-Cairús overcoming Ronconi-Jacob in an only set 25-19. Ronconi-Jacob won the bronze at the first stop of the season in Mar del Plata.

General Cabrera closed a new perfect organization stop, its second Argentine National Beach Volleyball Stop and the 16th David Fuentes Cup with an outstanding audience, great stadium and playing field, and showing great love for beach volleyball in another great sport party organized by the Asociación Amigos del Voley together with the Argentine Volleyball Federation.

Now the Tour moves again to Mar de Ajo, with the 6th stop of the best beach volleyball of the country.
