MEETING OF THE STAFF OF THE ARGENTINE NATIONAL BEACH VOLLEYBALL TEAMS IN MAR DEL PLATA

Gutiérrez leads the beach volleyball meeting in Mar del Plata

Mar del Plata, Argentina, March 24 2012 - With the Argentine Women Beach Volleyball delegation working in this resort city preparing themselves for the next step of the Continental Cup on their London dream, a meeting was held with all the staff of all the national beach volleyball teams planning ahead up to the Olympic 2016 path.

Not only the next stop of the Continental Cup will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina but the beach volleyball new training centres were discussed.

The meeting was led by FeVA President, Juan Antonio Gutiérrez, together with the staff of the Argentine men and women beach volleyball teams. Gutierrez not only talked about the 2012 process but that he heads towards giving beach volleyball a very important place all over the country.

At the meeting were Pablo Suárez, Santiago Etchegaray, Ian Mehamed and Julián Azaad (men players) and Ana Gallay, Virginia Zonta, Luciana Forguez and Gabriela Albano (women players).

he pointed out that "it is very clear that we are working towards the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016. We have teams to reach there with the best of Argentine beach volleyball".

Of course, without jumping steps first comes London 2012, with Argentina trying to qualify their women delegation facing Uruguay in Buenos Aires.

Professor Pablo Bernardi, chief of the Argentine coaches mentioned that they are working with both gender teams. Cristian Jacob, women coach was also part of the meeting.

The development beach volleyball centres will work during this 2012 year in Mar del Plata, Rosario, Entre Ríos and Mendoza. FeVA president confirmed that this next week two new beach volleyball fields will be built in Salta.
