Conde blocking on his way to Semi-Final

Mendoza, Argentina, March 24, 2012 - Tunucán, a tipical beach volleyball venue in Mendoza province is enjoying the best of both genders in the 9th stop and final of the men tour, that finishes a long and incredible intensive summer season and one more of the women stops. Martín Conde-Juan Simón Zorrilla (as new team) and Gabriel Fernández-Ángel Verzzali and Di Cesare-Di Cesare and Túliz-Amieva stand among the best four teams that this Sunday evening will fight for the qualification to the final match and the title, then.

Conde-Zorrilla overcame 2-0 Adriano Pasqualini-Sebastián Quiroga in Quarter-finals. On both sets they lost at the beginning but with reaction leveling at 10-10 won quite easily at the end. The match ended 2-0 (21-14, 21-15).

Fernández-Verzzali meanwhile overcame the host team Emir Andraos-Matías Scattareggia. The match also ended 2-0 but it was very fought, mainly the first one ending 2-0 (24-22, 21-9).

Pasqualini-Quiroga and Andraos-Scattareggia will have one more chance on the losers round to reach the semi-final round. with their matches will start the last day of competition. At noon, the Siri brothers will face Galeano-Quiroga and then Ronconi-Andreoni (that played a tie-breaker v Bueno-Serrani on the best duel of Saturday action) will play v Sanchez-Banini.

On the women' side, the young sisters Di Cesare (14 & 16) overcame 2-0 Ceccani-Sosa becoming the surprise tournament in a seniors' compétition while the local Túliz-Amieva fought a tie-breaker v Morales-Sisti to qualify for semi-finals.

The final matches - as usual in Tunuyan with great evening and night volleyball - will take place at 21.00 (women) and about 22.30 (men).
