The team working with weights at Cenard facilities

Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 19, 2012 - The Argentine Seniors' Men Tam starts the final preparation towards the South American Olympic Qualification Tournament that will be held in Almirante Brown, Argentina, May 11th - 13th with a ticket for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The team is working under Javier Weber and his staff coaching double shift planning the two engegaments that will end prior to this very important competition. In Argentina part of the team will face Cuba at a friendly tour while the other part will be travelling to play v the USA Seniors' Men Team to improve and evaluate their performances.

With 21 players - with this Thursday inclusion of Pablo Bengolea of the champion of the ACLAV Argentine A1 Men Teams League, UPCN and four of the second runner-up, Boca Río Uruguay Seguros, Nicolás Uriarte, Nicolás Bruno, Facundo Santucci and Maximiliano Gauna, Weber is working with the team thinking on the two engagements to put the team ready for the demanding season that starts in Almirante Brown.

This Friday, Cuba's Seniors team is arriving to play five friendly matches starting on Saturday, April 21st. Then Sunday 22nd and Tuesday 24th, the first three matches will take place without audience and media at Cenard facilities.

The last two matches will be played with the light blue - white team meeting their Buenos Aires fans on Thursday, April 26th and Saturday, April 28th. Management is being done to play them for welfare for the clubs that suffered their facilities destroyed wih last terrific storm in Great Buenos Aires.

The team for these matches is: Maximiliano Cavanna and Juan Ignacio Macció (setters), Iván Castellani (opposite player), Mariano Giustiniano, Agustín Ramonda and Cristian Poglajen (wing spiker), Guido Romanutti, Marcos Aldazábal, Maximiliano Gauna and Martín Blanco Costa (middle player), Facundo Santucci (libero) and two juniors' to be confirmed. This team will play under the coaching of Juan Manuel Barrial and Flavio Leoni.

The other part of the team will travel to USA next Monday, April 23 to train and play two matches v the USA National Team in Anaheim, California, April 27th and April 29th.

The team that will travel under the coaching of Javier Weber and Alejandro Grossi will include as players: Luciano De Cecco and Nicolás Uriarte (setters), Federico Pereyra an Federico Martina (opposite players), Guillermo García, Nicolás Bruno, Rodrigo Quiroga (travels directly from Europe) and Pablo Bengolea (wing spikers), Sebastián Solé, Gabriel Arroyo and Pablo Crer (middle players) and Franco López (líbero).
