BULGARIA WELCOMES POOL D FINAL WEEKEND OF THE FIVB WORLD LEAGUE

Argentina and Germany will open the fourth and last weekend in Sofia

Sofia, Bulgaria, June 28, 2012 - The Intercontinental Round of the FIVB World League will finish its fourth weekend for all pools and Pool D will take place at the venue where the Final Round will then take place, the Arena Armeec in Sofia. Argentina is still alive with chances of qualifying for third time to the final round thanks to its sport results. The team coached by Juan Manuel Barrial will open the weekend v Germany at 11.30 Argentine time, ESPN+ live broadcast.

Different to the three first weekends of this new formula (four weekends with the four teams of each pool playing round robin), Argentina will make its debut in Sofia against the only team they could not defeat in this years FIVB World League edition. Germany leads the pool with 22 points and very near of getting the place for the pool for the Final Round that will be played in Sofia, July 4th - 8th. A

Argentina, that faces a special working scheme divided with a group that stayed in Buenos Aires under the coaching of Javier Weber will present a renewed team that obtained four points in Guimaraes, site of the third weekend. The group, including the captain Rodrigo Quiroga (that travelled to Bulgaria this week) will face again Germany, Portugal and the host team of Bulgaria.

The light blue - white team stands equal as Bulgaria, both with 16 points each each with a record of 2-1 win-loss for Argentina while Portugal stands winless (as Japan in another Pool).

On Saturday the rival will be Bulgaria at 14.45 while on Sunday it will be Portugal at 9.30, all Argentine time and broadcast by ESPN+.
