MEMORIAL WAGNER IN POLAND: ARGENTINA V GERMANY 1-3

Zielona Gora, Poland, July 20, 2012 - In the first date of the friendly tournament Memorial Hubert Wagner, in the Polish city of Zielona Gora, the Argentine Seniors' played once more, as in the 2012 FIVB World League weekends, a very intensive and hard match v Germany. With the European team winning 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19) the light blue - white jersey team showed momentums and received the cheering of the host audience. Castellani remained as start line-up on the third and the score showed equality up to 11-11 when mistakes of Kaliberda and Schöps gave Argentina a clear lead 20-16. Pereyra and then Quiroga closed the set with the victory of Argentina putting the series 2-1.

When everything was open on the start of the fourth set, Günthör gave his utmost to reach the first TTO 8-4 and keep the distance to close with Bohme and Steuerwald the set and the match.
