Argentina got revenge of the match in Japan World Cup 2011

Zielonga Gora, Poland, July 21, 2012 . The Argentine Seniors' overcame in a very hard match Iran 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, 17-15) as part of their last training period prior to the London Olympic Games 2012 that will start end next week. This Sunday, Argentina will face in this friendly competition the host team of Poland at 11.30 Argentine time. Then, the team coached by Javier Weber will remain in this city until Wednesday, when they fly to London, with a chance of some other friendly match prior to leaving Poland.

Argentina had a great first set, with Alexis González, Luciano De Cecco and Facundo Conte leading the team to its first partial victory. At the decisive points Sebastián Solé and Federico Pereyra also shone.

But Iran concentrated for the second set and got the same lead but on the other side of the net in both TTO. The team coached by another Argentine coach, Julio Velazco had in serving and blocking their best weapons.

On the third set, the light blue - white jersey team found again its momentum in a very levelled set fought by both teams to the point that they were equal 17-17 but Argentina put the series 2-1.

Again, with ups and downs on both teams, Iran got a quick lead on the fourth set never losing the leadership and forcing a tie-break definition that was fought and changing leadership of both teams. Cristian Poglajen obtained a very important serving point to level 13-13 and then in a very exciting end, helped by Conte close it with a victory.
