London, Great Britain, July 23, 2012 - The venue chosen for the Beach Volleyball Olympic Games will live the first ever women participation of an Argentine team competing at an Olympic competition. It will also show as most of the places where all games will take place an historical London place, in this case the Horse Guards Parade.

The Horse guards Parade is a militar venue facing the old Whitehall Palace, that becomes that name as every day the horse guard of its Majesty, the Queen of London changes horses and people at that place. It also stands across from the home of the First Ministry, in the green area of England Capital city, very near of the beautiful St. James park.

Inside the park different areas are training fields created for the Olympic Games with other fields at the east of the main venue, where 15,000 viewers can enjoy the matches. To build this beach volleyball place, 5 thousand tons of sand were moved from Surrey to make a real beach, that will again be moved after the end of the Games.

At its esplanade, annually the birth of the Queen is celebrated with a parade call "Trooping of the Colour" with several different shows. Once it was also the main headquarters of the British Army.

With reference to its sport background, the place was were the knights of the medieval period faced each other from the time of Enrique III, that organized there games and competitions. Now, it will host a different kind of battles, sand sport and Argentina will be part of the competition.
