Good performance of Ana Gallay in the second match

London, Great Britain, July 31, 2012 - In their second match at the London Olympic Games 2012, Ana Gallay and Virgina Zonta showed once more that they deserve to be at the Beach Volleyball competition among the best teams of the World but finally the Spanish pair of Elsa Baquerizo and Liliana Fernandez overcame them 0-2 (20-22, 16-21). The light blue - white team representing Argentina lead the score in several parts, specially on the first set and keep showing growth in the best competition of the World.

The match was very different from the first one, as the Spanish team stands much more at the same level than the Argentinian with floating serving and choosing defence over blocking. Gallay showed great output on the first set with high spiking and serving to generate 12-9 but Spain showed its experience and after getting very near 16-15, they found their real momentum to close the set 20-22 Baquerizo-Fernández.

The second set started levelled with good output o the Argentine team facing a pair with much more experience at the SWATCH-FIVB World Tour with a TO 10-11. Good serving by the South American team winning 6 points in the whole match but again, at the end of the set the Spanish showed a great momentum winning by a wider difference 16-21.

Closing the preliminary round of the Olympic Games Gallay-Zonta will face the Netherlands pair Keizer-Van Iersel, that lost their first match and no must play against the favourite pair, from USA, Kessy-Ross.
