Argentina celebrating against Bulgaria

London, Great Britain, August 6, 2012 - This Monday it is the last day of the preliminary round of the Indoor Volleyball Men Competition of the London Olympic Games and the Argentine Seniors' face the host team of Great Britain at 12.45 Argentine time looking forward to their best standing in Pool A after Australia defeated in the first match of the day, Poland.

Both teams never faced each other as Great Britain started competing really serious when the Olympic Games 2012 were decided to be played in their country and therefore their standing at the FIVB World ranking is not among the best teams. Argentina stands with 6 points after a record of win-loss 2-2 while Great Britain did not win a single set in Earls Court field.

With a victory, Argentina will be among the best eight teams but the result will decide its rival at Quarter-Finals. Now it stands with one match less on the fifth place in Pool A but prior to their match Italy faces Bulgaria so everything in this group is still at stake.

This is the first goal of Javier Weber and the Argentine Volleyball Federation after not qualifying to participate at Beijing 2008.

In Pool B, USA qualified already and Brazil and Russia are at the door of the qualification for the second round while Germany and Serbia must face the best teams to decide their qualification.
