THE ACTIVITY FOR GALLAY-ZONTA AFTER THE OLYMPIC GAMES DOES NOT STOP

Warm welcome for Gallay in Nogoya

Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 16, 2012 - The Argentine pair at the Women's Beach Volleyball London Olympic Games 2012, Ana Gallay and Virginia Zonta, that made history qualifying for the first time a women beach volleyball team for an Olympic Games go on with activities related to their future international engagements.

After the Olympic Games first the team coached by Professor Pablo Bernardi travelled to Madrid Spain to train with local pairs while there are talks about different invitations to increase their international competition experience.

The team will rest until next September 15th, when they will move to Mar del Plata to start training for next season. Meanwhile Bernardi will participate at different trainings together with Spanish beach volleyball coaches.

Ana Gallay was warmly welcomed in her city, Nogoya, Entre Rios including a motorcade. At the door of the City Hall, the Mayor Daniel Pavon, together with the Sport Coordinator, Adrrian Perotti welcomed her with a flower bouquet and the local people made good use of that stop to get pictures with the Olympic athlete.

Then, at the main hall of the Mayor, she received a plate recognizing her as one of Argentine Olympic athletes. Gallay expressed that "it was something amazing and I will never forget it. I wanted to win and we trained well and even though we gave our utmost it could not be".

At the same pool of the Argentine team were the Olympic final team from USA Kessy-Ross that lost the Gold Medal v the USA May-Wash (winning the silver medal).
