Halifax, Canada, August 30, 2012 - With the right foot started the path of Argentina at the Juniors' Men Beach Volleyball World Championship 2012, that began this morning in the Canadian city of Halifax when Lisandro Rouzic and Mateo Iwanowski, in a South American duel defeated the Chilean pair Roberto Frazzoni-Felipe Gómez 2-0 (21-18, 21-17) in forty minutes playing.
There is still one more match for Rouzic-Iwanowski this Thursday afternoon facing the host team of Chow-Del Bianco, the most favourite team to win the competition. The Argentine team will close then the first round in Pool J (one of the five that finished with three teams of a total of 27 pairs participating at Canadian sand).
If they qualify for the second round, they will start the single elimination match round towards the title. Due to their previous experience at the Youth's Boys World Championship 2011 in Umag, Croatia, were Rouzic-Iwanowski finished on an historical ninth place being their first World experience.
The Argentine delegation includes outside the talented players, Santiago Etchegaray as coach and Jorge Torres as official in charge of the team.
