Boca won clearly in three straigth sets

San Pablo, Brazil, September 4, 2012 - In their first presentation at the Women South American Clubs Championship held in San Pablo, this Wednesday, the Argentine team of Boca Juniors (two consecutive years Argentine League champion) overcame very easily and without any questions Universidad Católica de Bolivia 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-11). The top scorer of the match was Natalia Espinosa with 15 points. This Wednesday they will play their second match while in Chile, UPCN (also two consecutive years Argentine Men League champion) will have its debut match.

For the Women Team the competition will go on facing this Wednesday Deportivo Venezuela de Paraguay while on Thursday they will close in an only pool, all against all their performance in the first round facingg the host team of Sollys Osasco, that also won the first match 3-0 having among others the great Sheilla Castro and Thaisa Menezes, that also play for the Brazilian Women Team winning the Olympic Gold Medal in London this year.

On the other side of the continent, at the Chilean city of Linares, the competition starts this Wednesay in a much more competitive tournament. Also with an only berth in Qatar, UPCN stands in the same demanding pool in first round v Deportivo Colón - Paraguay (Wednesday match), Carmelo Rowing Club - Uruguay (on Thursday) and Sada Cruzeiro - Brazil (on Friday), this last team coached by the several champion Argentine Marcelo Mendez of several leagues in different foreign countries.

The best two teams of each pool will qualify for semi-finals facing each other in crossover formula. The other pool includes the host team of Linares, Peerless - Perú, Huracanes de Bolívar -Venezuela and Universidad La Salle - Bolivia.

Semi-finals will take place on Saturday while on Sunday the final match winner will get its ticket for the men Clubs World Championship.
