U 14 ARGENTINE BOYS CUP: OBRAS DE SAN JUAN IS THE NEW CHAMPION

Obras recovered the Cup won in the season 2010 in Carlos Paz

Chapadmalal, Argentina, October 11, 2012 - The last National competition organized by the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) for the season 2012 finished yesterday after three weeks of very intensive grass-root competitions (U 18, U 16 & U 14) when at the resort city of Chapadmalal Obras recovered the crown won in Carlos Paz, Cordoba during the year 2010. They overcame Villa Dora 3-1 in the final match. They also won the U 16 Cup in a very successful 2012 season. Rivadavia de Villa Maria won the Bronze Medal.

This Wednesday it was a very intensive day taking into consideration that for the first time the three Argentine Cups - both genders - took place in the same venue, one after the other, involving hundreds of players, coaches, referees, officials and that at the same time, different meetings took place in a friendship that went beyond the competition itself, not only making new friends but also in different meetings helping each other to learn with personal experiences.

The Silver Cup was won by Regatas de Mendoza that defeated Mar Chiquita 3-0 and Cangallo obtaining the Bronze Cup overcoming Cipoletti. The Bronze Cup was won by Azul overcoming Club de Amigos 3-0 with the Bronze Medal at that category won by Pescadores de Gualeguaychú. The gold medal seventh place was for River, the fifth for Bolviar and Rivadavia finished third overcoming Virgen Niña 3-0.

The final match after so many matches took place about 19.00 when everyone was very happy but also tired after such long playing dates. All delegations of the three grass-root categories congratulated the excellency in organization with so many people going for and to between Chapadmalal as main venue and Miramar - for the first time - as secondary venue.
