This Thursday's presentation in Bahía Blanca

Bahia Blanca, Argentina, October 12, 2012 - This Thursday took place in Bahia Blanca the official presentation of the team of Olimpo that will participate of the Argentine Seniors' A1 League, the most important competition of the country in a new project to develop talented grass-root players in a team that will combine, local players to develop the city and surrounding region and grass-root athletes that have a promising future.

The presentation was headed by Olimpo President, Alfredo Dagna; the Manager of the Argentine Grass-Root Men-Boys Teams, Osvaldo Celia; and the coach of the Argentine Juniors' Fabián Muraco, who will coach Olimpo. Together with them were the staff that works with Muraco and most of the players that will be part of that team.

The President Dagna showed his happiness with this project that will put Bahia Blanca and Olimpo itself as one of the top venues of the countries. The whole idea started holding not only several matches of the Argentine Seniors' but the 2011 Youth's World Championship. The four year agreement with the Argentine Volleyball Federation is a step forward to develop volleyball all over the country.

Muraco, meanwhile expressed that the team is already training even though it started after some other teams but he is satisfied with the level of the players hired.

This Friday, Olimpo will play at Norberto Tomas venue its first friendly match v the Argentine Juniors. Tickets are available and Olimpo members will have a discount, as it will happen with U 14 & U 13 athletes that will have free and open entrance as long as they wear their club uniform. Previously at 17.00 there will be an exhibition of the girls U 13 teams of Olimpo and Estudiantes. Therefore the activity to develop volleyball all together in the region is underway.

The Juniors' that will be part of the team and were at yesterday's launching are: Alejandro Araya, Gonzalo Lapera, Luciano Zornetta, Ramiro Núñez, Mauro Llanos, Martín Weber, Nicolás Giraudo and Fernando Arpajou. They will share the responsibility of the team with experienced reinforcement for such demanding competition and they are: Gustavo Porporatto, Aníbal Gramaglia, Cristian Imhoff, Juan Pablo Alanis, Rodrigo Villalba, Damián Villalba and Sebastián Deppiaggi.

The idea is to add slowly local players so that Bahia has its quota in the team. The first names are: Manuel Rayes (Universitario), Sebastián Requi (Universitario) and Jerónimo López (El Nacional), players that will be supervised by Muraco.

The team will train and play locally in Bahia Blanca. This time, the training will last until next Wednesday leaving for Bolivar, to participate of the ACLAV Cup, the first official competition of the season 2012/13. They will face the host team of Bolivar, La Unión de Formosa and UNTREF de Buenos Aires. The debut at the League itself will be November 8th in Chaco facing Sarmiento Santana Textiles.
