Unión Eléctrica and Gimnasia de Santa Fe go on in the 2012 competition

Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 28, 2012 - The new format 2012 Argentine Seniors' Women A1 League that is organized together by the FeVA and ACLAV has already its pools that will gather teams for the next phase where definitions will start looking forward to the season new national final phase.

With the presence of Oscar Boccalandro, ACLAV President; Celia Montarulli, FeVA 5th Vice-President and Paula Parisi, in charge of the Argentine Seniors's A1 Women League at the ACLAV, and nine delegates of the participant teams took place the previous meeting to the third phase. "We are proud to have recovered the Seniors' Women A1 League in our enterprise and very happy of the development shown until now, with their sport results and the great summon of the different regions participating as the great organization and effort of all teams. We started with over 50 clubs in the first round, 21 in the second and now 12 for the definition and third round. The Argentine Seniors' women started its growing path again and that is very positive" expressed Boccalandro.

Teams are divided in three pools. During four weekends that correspond to the third phase, the teams will play at home and as visiting team round robin - al against all - facing 9 of the 11 possible rivals. Teams are divided in couples and those matches will take place on the last weekend.

Pool 1 will be the defending champion, Boca Juniors, Velez Sarsfield, Universidad Nacional de San Juan and Unión Eléctrica de Córdoba. Both Buenos Aires team are one couple and Cordoba and San Juan the other.

Pool 2 includes Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe, Villa Dora de Santa Fe, Mar Chiquita and San Lorenzo de Almagro. Santa Fe teams are one couple and Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires are the other.

Finally the third pool gathers, San José de Entre Ríos, San Martín de Formosa, Estudiantes y Gimnasia y Esgrima (botth from La Plata). Of course, both La Plata teams make one couple and Entre Rios and Formosa the other.

On the first weekend of competition Boca Juniors will host the competition receiving its pool rivals on November 3rd and 4th. The same will happen with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe and San José de Entre Ríos with their pool rivals while the Entre Rios competition will start November 10th and 11th.
