Argentina training in Thailand

Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, July 24, 2013 - The Argentine National Youth's Girls Team goes on training in Thailand, where this Friday will start their World Championship with the new formula that includes 20 teams on the first round. The light blue - white jersey team rests on Friday while on Saturday they will debut in the demanding Pool B that faces them with two Continental champions among other teams.

On the debut, On Saturday at 16.00 local time (6.00 Argentine time) they will face the Asian Champion, Japan. The team that will face the girls coached by Guillermo Caceres was also the last rival the girls faced at the last edition of this competition in Turkey 2011 when Japan won the match 3-0.

On Sunday, at 8.00 Argentine time (the rest of the matches of the Argentine team will be at the same time) will be also the demanding Poland, European Champion and semi-finalist of the last edition of the World Championship.

Then, on the third presentation on Monday, Argentina will face Greece, only team that returns to the World Championship and that obtained their fifth place at the European Championship.

Argentina will finish their first round participation on Tuesday, v China, with two silver medals on their background. On one side they arrive to this Competition as runner-up of the Asian Championship and then as defender of one of the finalist of the last World Championship, as they lost their final match with the home team of Turkey.

The best four teams of each pool will play the second round, in this new formula that since this 2013 allows the Juniors’ and Youths’ teams more participation.
