Argentina held their momentium into the tie-break fifth set, held a valuable 10-6 lead at the second technical timeout, and won the set 15-9 to complete a 3-2 win.

Despite being on the losing side, Kazakhstan's Tatyana Mudritskaya was the match's top scorer with 31 points.

Argentina head coach Orduna Guillermo was relieved with a second victory. "I'm very satisfied, because it wasn’t easy to win two matches in this Italian round-robin."

"We’ll work hard in the future, but I see my team keen to improve and concentrate [better]."
