JUNIORS' WORLD CHAMP.: THREE PRIOR VERY GOOD MATCHES FOR ARGENTINA

Argentina played tie-breaks v Italy and Japan

Pianborno, Italy, August 17, 2013 - The Argentine Seniors' keep training for their World Championship that will take place in Turkey. At this final path they participate of a friendly tour in Brescia and Bergamo cities playing against the host team, Brazil and Japan.

On the first day of this competition in Borno, the team coached by Fabian Muraco was defeated in a tie-breaker by Japan after winning the first two sets. The final result was 2-3 (25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 19-25, 12-15). At the light blue - white team shone the opposite player Pablo Kukartsev, who just made his debut with the Seniors' at the South American Championship scoring 35 rallies.

The second match took place in the city of Costa Volpino with Argentina facing its "classical" South American rival, Brazil with the end result 1-3 (16-25, 25-27, 25-19, 25-27). The same parity and result of their last clash. this time the top Argentine scorer was Gonzalo Quiroga with 19 rallies.

At the friendly competition played round robin - all against all. Italy was the third rival in the city of Darfo Boario Terme. There, the celebration was for the host team also 3-2 in a very changing match, 18-25, 25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 12-15). Quiroga was again the top scorer for Argentina with 19 rallies followed by Kukartsev with 17.

The closing match this Saturday will give the champion of this friendly tournament. Argentina looks forward to winning the Bronze Medal prior to travelling to the World Championship in Turkey.
