Moscow, Russia, August 21, 2013 - The Argentine Men pairs of Ian Mhamed-Julian Azaad and Pablo Bianchi-Gabriel Ojeda (playing for the first time together) could not qualify for the Main Draw of the eight Grand Slam of a very demanding beach volleyball season but Argentine presence at this competition goes on with Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug starting their competition directly at the Women's Main Draw.

The first Argentine team to step onto Russian sand were Bianchi-Ojeda in the first round of the Qualy this Wednesday morning. They were overcome by the Austrian Thomas Kunert-Christoph Dressler 2-0 (21-10, 21-12).

Later on the day it was the time for Mehamed-Azaad with a bye in the first round. They showed a good level but faced the home team of Evgeny Romashkin-Maksim Hudyakov and lost in two very equal sets, 21-18, 21-19.

Now, this Thursday it will be the time for the Argentine Gallay-Klug, standing on the 20th place at the Main Draw. They will play in Pool D facing the top team of the Brazilian Lili-Seixas and two Swiss teams: Zumkehr-Heidrich and Goricanec-Hüberli, both qualifying for the Main Draw at the Qualy this Wednesday.
