METROPOLITAN WON FOR 2ND CONSECUTIVE YEAR THE U 16 BOYS TITLE

The Champions

Mendoza, Argentina, August 31, 2013 - Finally the Metropolitan team completed its outstanding second consecutive season title. At the U 16 Boys National Championship held in the city of Mendoza, representing Buenos Aires city joint the girls team bringing to the capital city both U 16 crowns. They overcame in the final match Santa Fe. Felipe Benavidez was chosen the MVP. San Juan won the Bronze Medal.

The semi-finals took place during the morning with outstanding performances of the winners. While the Metropolitan overcame in a very fought match at moments Buenos Aires Province team winning in three staight sets, Santa Fe defeated San Juan in a very demanding match, too.

Prior to the Final Match in Mitre took place the other matches. La Pampa won in a three-team competition the 9th place while Neuquen won the 12th. At the Champion Round, Chaco finished 7th over Mendoza and Cordoba won the fifth place over Entre Rios.

The Bronze Medal was won by San Juan over Buenos Aires province 3-1 in Mitre venue, too, prior to the final match.

Santa Fe faced in equal conditions the Metropolitan Team but the winner overcame without stop their rivals including at the Final mach winning also most of the individual awards. The 3-0 of a great match put a nice closing to a week full of the best gras-root volleyball in Mendoza.
