Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 2, 2013 - After the two four-teams friendly competitions held in the city of Moron first and now in Buenos Aires city, the U 23 Argentine Team travels to participate of the first ever U 23 World Championship very motivated with a gold and a bronze medals won in this tournaments played against Australia, Iran and Russia. Tonight's match v Iran was a tie breaker victory for the light blue - white team coached by Alejandro Grossi with the sets closing 21-19, 21-15, 17-21, 16-21, 15-13. Agustin Ramonda was the top scorer with 19 rallies followed by Gustavo Vaca Alvarez with 17 for Argentina.

The coaching team put on the field several changes during the five sets so as to give more international experience to all players that will travel next Friday to Brazil to face their World dream.

"We have prepared ourselves a lot. We worked very hard and these four international matches were very demanding. We won three matches, v Russia winning the Gold Medal and v Iran, with the Bronze Meal. We were overcame by Australia that forgot they were one of the visiting teams and did not feel the pressure of the local fans" expressed Grossi.

Argentina played all four matches to tie-break definition. In Moron they defeated Iran and then Russia and in Buenos Aires they were overcame by Australia and defeated Iran.

Russia got revenge and won the second competition Gold Medal overcoming easily Australia 3-0 (21-10, 21-15, 21-13).

Now for the four teams comes the time to show the result of their hard training in their first official World competition.
