The strong serves of Turkey made things very difficult for Argentina and their captain Gozde Yilmaz hopes they can keep the same level for the next two crucial days.

Press Conference:

Gozde Yilmaz, captain of Turkey: It is a very important victory for us against a fighting team like Argentina. We followed the instructions of our coach and I hope we can continue playing like this in the next two days.

Antonela Curatola, captain of Argentina: They outplayed us with their serves. We couldn’t overcome those difficulties with our reception. We played at the same level with them for most of the sets.

Mehmet Bedestenlioglu, coach of Turkey: Yesterday’s was a very difficult loss for us to take but we had to prepare the team for today. We practiced in the morning and came out to play. We won but gave away too many points. We need to change that.

Guillermo Caceres, coach of Argentina: Playing against Turkey was difficult because of their serves were so good. We couldn’t put the ball in the hands of (setter) Curatola to prepare our offence. Also when we had the ball we were not able to go through very close angles. Anyway I am glad because we don’t have a lot of opportunities to play internationally and we played very equalized with Turkey during the three sets.
