MEETING OF THE CSV BEACH VOLLEYBALL COMMISSION

Beach meeting at CSV HQ in Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, October 27, 2013 - During two days, the members of the South American Confederation Beach Volleyball Committee met for the last time during the 2013 year to evaluate the past year and start programming the following with regards to all Beach Volleyball Continent matters. After welcoming all members, CSV President, Rafael Lloreda and the Vice-President, Marco Tullio Texeira started the work programmed. At the meeting were present the Presidents of the following country presidents: For Argentina, Juan Antonio Gutierrez; for Ecuador, Jorge Granja Cobos; for Uruguay, Julio Perez Alfaro and the delegates sent by Chile, Jorge Luis Pino Madrid and from Venezuela, Nelson Dellimore.

During the first date all the 2012/13 season reports were presented. "It was a very important beach Volleyball season, with lots of different activities and great development in the whole continent. We would like to be able to organize more competitions and discover new talented beach volleyball players in South America" mentioned Lloreda. The members discussed about the proposals of changing the Ruling of the South American Beach Volleyball Circuit and confirmed the 2013/14 calendar.

Among the most important subjects discussed were the formula to be played in Nanjing, where the Youth's Olympic Games will take place, the Pan-American Games 2015, the Continental Cup, the reports on the Qualy for Nanjing, the Bolivian Games and the South American Playa Vargas Games. The Vice-President Marco Tullio pointed out the importance of making a standard of the fields to be played at. Some of the main subjects will be proposed to the Executive Committee of the South American Confederation.
