NANJIN YOUTH'S OLYMPIC QUALIFIER 2014: FINAL MATCH FOR ARGENTINA

Asuncion, Paraguay, November 4th, 2013 - Brazil was the first country - out of six berth in six rounds for South American countries - to qualify both genders at the beach volleyball competitions for the Youth's Olympic Games that will take place next year in Nanjin, China. It will be the second time that the Youth's Olympic Games take place in the year 2014 while the third edition will be carried out in Argentina, 2018.

The Argentine Men's Team of Leandro Aveiro-Santiago Aulisi qualified for the great final match. The winners of the South American Beach Games of this season overcame Uruguay 2-0 (21-17, 21-10) at one of the semi-final matches and then were defeated by the Brazilian team that also overcame in the other semi-final match Paraguay 2-0 (21-13, 21-9).

The great final match was won by Brazil after a very exciting and amazing tie-breaker 2-1 (21-14, 18-21, 15-12.

At this first round, at club Rakiura Resort Day facilities participated seven countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay with a total of thirteen teams, seven women's and six men's. Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay played the semi-final men's competition while Brazil, Paraguay, Ecuador and Uruguay competed at the women's.

The women's semi-finals took place on Sunday morning, with the matches being played by Brazil v Ecuador and Paraguay v Uruguay. The Brazilian pair won 2-0 (21-14, 21-10) while Paraguay defeated Uruguay in a tight 2-1 (21-18, 16-21, 15-12). Then, the final match was won by Brazil over Paraguay 2-0 (21-15, 22-20).

The Bronze medals were won by Uruguay's girls over Ecuador 2-0 (double 21-18) and Uruguay's boys over Paraguay 2-0 (21-12, 21-10).
