THE INTERNATIONAL LUXURY JULIO VELASCO CLINIC CAME TO AN END

Villa Maria, Argentina, December 1, 2013 - This Sunday at noon finished the International Clinic carried out by the Argentine coach at the Cultural City Hall Centre Leonaro Favio in the city of Villa Maria, Cordoba province with the participation of over 170 coaches from all over the country and Continental Regional coaches overcrowding the hall, that wanted to get the chance of learning some of the wide knowledge of the international coach, Velasco. Four days of full work, exchange of experiences and knowledge that help South America Volleyball to keep growing and developing itself day after day.

Fernando Badran, Sport Director of Villa Maria City Hall and the coach of volleyball of the local team of Rivadavia that is participating of the Argentine Seniors' Women A1 League, made a balance of this clinic thanking on the bet that Villa Maria City Hall made: "That they support making such an important expense bringing the great quality international coach, Julio Velasco, reaches much further than just Argentina and makes a great impact over the whole Continent that we will be full aware on the long run. What Happened in Villa Maria is very strong. There were coaches from the Argentine National Teams but also from all the representative clubs and teams from the country. I think that this thanks must also be headed towards Argentine Volleyball".

The clinic started on Thursday afternoon talking on "How to teach volleyball" to the grass-root players. This important point was discussed until Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday till noon, Velazco developed "How to train Volleyball" headed towards the most advanced volleyball players. About 170 coaches from 18 Argentine provinces and other countries like Peru, Chile, Paraguay and Colombia were part of the event.

Julio Velasco is one of the most experienced international Argentine coaches being the coach, among others of the Italian National Seniors' Men Team on the decade of the '90. He obtained twice the World Championship title, an Olympic Silver Medal in 1996 and several titles at the FIVB World League (premier annual competition for national men teams of the world) and at the European Championships. He also coached the Spanish and the Czech Republic National Teams and today he coaches Iran's National Team, that recently participated at the Great Champions Cup in Japan as Asian Champion, obtaining a valuable fourth place in this competition that joins the best teams of each Continent of the World.

This event, organized by Villa Maria City Hall through out its Ente Villa Maria Deportes y Turismo S.E.M., obtained the support of the Argentine Volleyball Federation together with the Cordoba Volleyball Federation.
