Argentina overcame Chile after a bad start

Saquarema, Brazil, December 7, 2013 - At least, Argentina already obtained the same result they did two years ago at the first U Youth's Boys South American Championship winning the silver medal as in the last day of competition that is being held in the city of Saquarema, the light blue - white team overcame a very demanding semi-final match v Chile obtaining one of the berth of the great final match during the morning. This same Saturday afternoon at 16.00 Argentine time the final with the host team of Brazil, a "classical" Argentine rival will take place.

Chile became stronger growing from the preliminary round when Argentina defeated them quite easily. This time they won the first set and the boys coached by Julian Alvarez nevertheless reacted to overcome them 2-1 (24-26, 25-20, 15-7).

On the other Semi-final match Brazil also had some hard times v a strong Colombian team even though at the end of each set the host team obtained a good leadership.

Brazil, title holder and host team will play therefore against Argentina the most important match of the competition with Brazil reaching the final series without losing any matches while Argentina lost against them in the preliminary round in a terrific tie-breaker with both teams showing ups and downs.

The final math will be played to the best of five sets - a different formula from the rest of the competition, to the best of three. There is no doubt it will be a tough match.
