Recognition to the great work of Alejandro Bolgeri and Rolando Cholakian at Argentine Volleyball

Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 10, 2013 - Each season, the Argentine Olympic Committee in its end of the year party, recognizes different people from different sports of the whole country with Annual Awards to athletes, officials and other staff of the different sports that have shone through out their careers or during the last year helping growth their own sport in Argentina. During this 2013 there is pride for Argentine volleyball and specially for the Argentine Volleyball Federation with outstanding performances for two of their own people during their whole careers.

On one side, Architect Alejandro Bolgeri will receive the award given to his path as official, after being the former President of the Argentine Volleyball Federation during two periods (including the first one of the entity) and also having active participation as member of the South American Volleyball Confederation and also of the Argentine Olympic Committee.

Also, Rolando Cholakian will be recognized due to his patch as Referee. The Argentine international Referee, was one of the referees at the last London Olympic Games 2012.

The Argentine Olympic Committee (COA) recognizes different categories. Added to this year's volleyball awards there are prizes to "The Best Example Sport Gesture"; "Sport and the Social Responsibility"; "Promotion and Broadcasting of Olympic activities"; or "To the Women and Sport" completing a total of nine awards. The Argentine Volleyball Federation postulated candidates for six of the different categories.

Among its regulations, COA establishes, that added to giving the awards, it will forward the background of the awarded people to the International Olympic Committee and to the Fair Play International Committee to be considered for the International Awards that these entities also give annually.
