The 8 final teams that will fight for the new title

Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 16, 2013 - The last part of the Argentine Seniors' A1 Women League is ready to start in its second consecutive season organized together by the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) and the Argentine Volleyball Teams League Association (ACLAV). This weekend, with the four-teams competitions were settled the best eight teams of the whole country that qualified for the Play-Offs fighting for the 2013/14 season.

Boca and Velez, as winners of their pools in third round, were already qualified among the top teams of this season's competition while between Friday and Sunday, twelve teams fought for the six berths left to complete the Play-Offs.

In La Plata two pools took place at the same time and they decided the winners on the previous date to the final matches. On one side, at Gimnasia y Esgrima Sport Centre, the host team of GELP and San Martin de Formosa won in their pool the final places leaving behind Mendoza de Regatas and Fundarte.

In the second pool but at Universal Club, Estudiantes played as host team and secured its place together with San Lorenzo while Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe and Olimpo de Bahia Blanca were eliminated.

The tightest pool, decided in the last date matches was settled in Santa Fe. The host team of Villa Dora topped its pool qualifying with Atletico Echague as second runner-up, equalled with other two teams on the second place that left their utmost but could not qualify, Mar Chiquita and Biblioteca Rivadavia de Villa Maria.

Now Quarter-Final matches for next weekend were settled with Boca fighting v Echague, Estudiantes v Villa Dora, Velez (title holder) v San Lorenzo and GELP v San Martin de Formosa.
