The Argentine National Youth's Boys team will participate again of this competition

Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 16, 2013 - Under the organization together of the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) and the Argentine Volleyball Teams Association (ACLAV), ACLAV's Board of Administration welcomed the delegates of the thirteen qualified teams for next round of the Argentine Seniors' A2 Men upgrading League, that will have two teams with the chance of upgrading to next season's A1 League.

Ciudad de Buenos Aires and Obras Pocito were the last teams that qualified to participate of the A1 League. The champion and second runner-up of the season 2012/13 respectively, are part at the present season of the Argentine Nativa Nacion League together with UNTreF Volley, owner of the upgrading title in the season 2011/12.

The same goal will be for the thirteen teams that will compete in this new competiton of the Seniors' A2 Men upgrading League (one more than last year) that will start with the beginning of the year 2014. The confirmed teams that will fight for the title are: Pilar Voley, River Plate, Club de Amigos, The Argentine Youth's Boys Team, Club Echagüe, Club Parana Rowing and Escuela Madrynense de Voley, in Pool 1 while, Alianza Jesus Maria, Polideportivo Carlos Paz (Cordoba), Dante Alighieri (La Rioja), Club Ateneo (Catamarca), Monteros Voley (Tucuman) and Carlos Pellegrini (Tucuman) stand in Pool 2.

Maybe the most astonishing news is the return of the historical Monteros Voley, second runner up of Argentine A1 League in the season 2003/04 after the victory over Bolivar in the series 4-2 and champion in the season 2004/5, after defeating the same Bolivar by an unquestionable 4-1 (to the best of seven matches). Another of the very important returns is the team of River after four season's absence. That team, that participated of the A2 League for last time in the season 2009/10 was defeated in Quarter-Finals by Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe. Also Carlos Pellegrini returns after three years, while the teams that participated also last year are Club de Amigos, the Argentine Youth's Boys Team, Escuela Madrynense de Voley and Polideportivo Carlos Paz.

Also the fixture and calendar of the competition was confirmed - very similar to last's seasons but only with one more team. In the first round the thirteen teams will be divided in two pools, one of six and one of seven teams. The best of each pool will qualify directly for semi-finals while the second, third, fourth and fifth ranked teams will play two four-teams round, as in the season 2012/13 in Dean Funes (Cordoba) and La Plata (Buenos Aires province). The top teams of each of the four-team pools will complete the two semi-final berths, that will be played to the best of three matches while the final series will be to the best of five matches.

In a new competition organized together with the FeVA, ACLAV aims to continue making it more federative every season after the great success of last season as it also happens with the Argentine Seniors' A1 Women League.
