Women matches at Cristal Hotel Complex

La Pampa, Argentina, January 18, 2014 - The first date of the second stop of the Beach Volleyball "Development Circuit" took place this Saturday in the city of Eduardo Castex with great audience and dazzling outstanding match performances.

Eight province Federation are represented through out their beach volleyball athletes in the newly historical U 18 competition, carried out through out the country with four different stops for young players with the goal of making them grow and win experience towards the Youth's Olympic Games, mainly the one that will take place in Buenos Aires 2018. The delegations came from La Pampa, Buenos Aires Province, Chubut, Cordoba, Santa Fe, Mendoza, Metropolitan (Buenos Aires city) and Entre Rios.

In two outstanding venues updated by the La Pampa Volleyball Federation in charge of Ariel Soncini and his working staff, the Cristal Hotel and the City Hall Entertainment Park enjoyed both genders matches on their way to semi-finals, that will take place this Sunday at Cristal Hotel venue.

Province, City and Federative authorities during the Opening Ceremony

During the morning was held the official Opening Ceremony with the presence of La Pampa Province Sport Director, Alicia Barrancos Lopez; the city hall Mayor, Julio Gonzalez, the Under Mayor, Juan Carlos Peirone; the local Sport and Recreation Director, German Libois, La Pampa Volleyball Federation President, Ariel Soncini; the Competition Director, Miguel Mendez; the Beach Volleyball National Secretariat Coordinator, Jose Maria Cuadrillero and the person in charge of the competition itself, Andres Soriano.

With folk dancing and welcoming words to all players, the opening ceremony launched this second national very important grass-root competition at the local City Hall Sport and Recreation Park followed by the fist match.

This Saturday fourteen matches of each gender took place while two planned matches were left for Sunday due to the great parity in each match. This Sunday the competition will start at 8.30 at both venues with the left preliminary round matches prior to the great definition matches.

The organization of the competition decided that all teams will go on playing to have the chance of winning more experience and therefore places 9th to 12th on both genders will take place early on Sunday.
