Santa Fe, Argentina, January 25, 2014 - This Saturday finished the first date of the first stop of the Argentine National Beach Volleyball Tour of this 2014 season with action for both genders in a record of 15 stops programmed all over the country. At Yandraq Resort in the city of Santa Fe, with long international history at national and international beach volleyball competitions, started the season and today took place the first date of both genders, Main Draw.

At the Women's competition, the sisters Di Cesare keep advancing and will face one of the favourite pairs, Albano-Forguez, clue players for the first Olympic Argentine Qualification in London 2012. The host team of Benet-Fertonani will face the junior Hiruela-Verasio (Jujuy and Rosario respectively). On the other side, Maseli-Vuconich and the juniors Sancer-Di Cesare are waiting for their rivals.

Starting at 10.30 the two matches towards qualifying for semi-finals will take place at the same time among the women's teams. Then, at 12.00 and 13.00 the girls on the loser round will play their chances for semi-final places.

The men have already semi-finalists

Among the men's one more round took place and already qualified for semi-finals Verzalli-Ronconi, one of the most favourite teams and the juniors Aulisi-Aveiro, U 19 South American Champions last December. Biondi-Leon will play v Galeano-Rouzic and Nunez-Combes v Carisio-Sanchez on the loser's round towards their places in semi-finals.

Their matches will take place at 11.20 and 12.10 in field No. 2.

Santa Fe is the first stop of the Men's Tour 2014 in a season full of Beach Volleyball competitions. Two stops of the "Development Tour" for grass-root teams already took place in the cities of Coronel Suarez and Eduardo Castex and next week will be the time to enjoy in the Entre Rios city of Cerrito the 2nd. Argentine National Tour stop.

The 2014 calendar includes stops as never in its beach volleyball history. Cities like Rada Tilly (Chubut), General Cabrera (Cordoba), Quilmes (Buenos Aires Province), Las Grutas (Rio Negro), Chos Malal (Neuquen), Tunuyan (Mendeoza), San Carlos (Mendoza), La Rioja (La Rioja), Corrientes (Corrientes), Goya (Corrientes), Chaco (Chaco), Salta (Salta) and Catamarca (Catamarca) will host until next May the best Argentine Beach Volleyball making a total of 13 provinces that will be part of the new Argentine National Tour, every time more federative and with competition along more time, not just the Argentine summer.
