The Juniors' Hiruela-Verasio playing in Cerrito

Entre Rios, Argentina, February 1, 2014 - Nothing stops Beach Volleyball party in the city of Cerrito, one of Argentine's most traditional venue for this sport. On the first date of the Main Draw with bad weather the matches went on and this Sunday the 2nd stop of the Argentine National Beach Volleyball Tour and the Province Tour for both genders will have new champions.

Weather changed from sunny and hot day to windy and rainy several times during the day but the matches did not stop at the two fields dedicated to the Argentine Tour and the four of the Entre Rios Province Tour, showing an outstanding level at the 15th edition of this regional competition.

With all the activity concentrated at the Cerrito City Hall Camping, organized by the Local City Hall and the Entre Rios Volleyball Federation, hundreds of players of both genders and all categories enjoy together both competitions along three very intensive days.

Among the men's tournament there are already two teams among the best four ones: the local favourite pair of Ian Mehamed-Julian Azaad and the Wild Card owners, Jacob-Sebastian Sanchez. Four more couples will play this Sunday morning for the other two semi-final places. They are: Leon-Galeano v Ronconi-Verzzali and the young talented Funes-De Elorza v Aulisi-Aveiro. Giving a sight of the development of Junior players, on both stops, young players stood among the top teams.

At the girls' competition, semi-final qualification matches will show Benet-Fertonani v Hiruela-Verasio and Milesi-Mosqueira (the last being the champions of the first stop). Already qualified for this round are Ana Gallay-Julieta Puntin and Alejandra Graiño-Cecilia Peralta.

At the same time that this stop goes on FeVA is organizing the third stop that will take place for the first time in the city of Rada Tilly (Chubut province). All enquiries, registration and questions should be addressed up to the deadline date, next Tuesday at 20.00 to beach@feva.org.ar. or by phone 011 5774 4966 (Miguel Mendez, competition director).
