Gallay-Klug are already at the second round in Peru

Lima. Peru, March 1, 2014 - All the favourite teams had great success on their first date at the 4th stop of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour being held until next Sunday in the city of Lima. Argentina obtained three victories among the men's competition while Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug stand on top of the women's. This Saturday the competition goes on leaving for Sunday Semi-Finals and the Great Final match on both genders.

Ian Mehamed-Julian Azaad got the lead on Pool D together with the Venezuelan Villafañe-Hernandez qualifying already for Quarter-Finals. The top Argentine ranked team overcame the host team of Bramont-Heredia 2-0 (21-9, 21-10) and then Martinez-Salinas from Chile by a double 21-13.

Pablo Bianchi-Facundo Del Coto faced the top Brazilian team in Pool A. In the first match of the date, Francioni-Carvalhaes overcame the Argentinians 0-2 (13-21, 17-21). Then, Bianchi-Del Coto recovered and in a very exciting match defeated the top team of the host country, Maldonado-Hidalgo 2-1 (21-23, 21-15, 15-10).

On the girls side, the Argentine pairs got to the top of the round until they faced each other and the top team of Gallay-Klug overcame Virginia Zonta-Julieta Puntin (2nd ranked team) 2-0 (21-12, 21-14).

Later on Gallay-Klug overcame Serna-Castillo (Peru) quite easily 2-0 (21-5, 21-8) while Zonta-Puntin were overcome by the Colombian sisters Andrea-Claudia Galindo and therefore are eliminated for the next round.
