Even though China won the duel the Argentine girls have good chances in Shanghai

Shanghai, China, May 1, 2014 - The start for the Argentine Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug in the first Grand Slam of the FIVB World Tour of the season 2014 was a record of win-loss 1-1 but with great chances of stepping onto the First Round of this stop of the best beach volleyball competition of the World.

On the opening match at Pool H, Gallay-Klug in a great surprised match overcame Meppelink-Van Iersel (NED) and top seeded team of the pool 2-0 (21-15, 21-19). On the second match of the first date in the early hours of the afternoon they faced the host China team of Xue-Xia and they were defeated 0-2 (double 19-21) in a very tied match that put the local team at the top of the pool.

Anyhow, the Argentine pair will face this Friday Mashkova-Tsimbalova (KAZ), that lost their first two matches and therefore the light blue - white team has a great chance of qualifying for the first round as with just one set they will stand best on the closing match of the pool as three of the four teams qualify to go on.
