YOUTH'S OLYMPIC GAMES IN NAINJING: ARGENTINE BEACH PAIRS

Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jun 6, 2014 - The Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) and the National Beach Volleyball Secretariat named the two pairs that will represent Argentina at the next Youth's Olympic games 2014 that will take place in Nanjing, China, August 16th - 28th.

After several evaluations and making the balance of hard work and playing results, the coaching team of the Argentine Beach Volleyball Pairs together with the SNBV (National Beach Volleyball Secretariat) decided that Camila Hiruela-Irene Verasio (for the women's competition) and Santiago Aulisi-Leandro Aveiro (at the men's) will represent the country at the beach volleyball competition for youth's double-gender beach pairs.

The Youth's Olympic Games - for youth that stand between 15 and 18 years old - will have its second edition with the first one held in Singapur 2010 where Argentina won at the indoor volleyball men's competition the silver medal. In the last four years this complete and several sport competition has headed towards education, inspiring youth to train sport and being a very active role in the whole world as the athletes are Olympic Value Ambassadors.

FeVa and SNBV chose these four players because they mean "the chance of developing Argentine Beach Volleyball", a challenge much more ambitious than just obtaining a good result and medals at the Olympic Games.

Argentine Volleyball bets on these players and all their talent and development thanks to the support of the ENARD, the Argentine Olympic Committee, the National Sport Secretariat, all Province Volleyball Federations and the City Halls involved in organizing competitions and concentrations that allowed to improve and growth beach volleyball age-group pairs and that also helped to qualify for the Youth's Olympic Games.

FeVA wants to thank also all players that have participated at the Argentine qualificating levels for this Olympic Games and their families that have helped so much engaging themselves in this program.
