Velasco talking with the Argentine Seniors' at Berln's venue

Berlin, Germany, June 19, 2014 - Time for a new weekend, the fifth of the Intercontinental Round of the FIVB World League 2013 with Argentina playing away v Germany in the city of Berlin. This Friday at 15.00 (Argentine time - 20.00 local time) they will play their first match at Max-Schmeling-Halle.

After their arrival on Tuesday to Germany, the Argentine Seniors worked on Wednesday and Thursday adjusting for its third match as visiting team after the two played last weekend in Japan that left Argentina with 5 victories and 3 defeats until now on the second runner-up place in Pool D after France (20 and 17 points respectively).

Argentina defeated Germany on the first weekend first match in Salta, in an historical first time celebration over the European Team at any edition of the FIVB World League.

Argentina and France will meet on the sixth and last weekend of this phase while Germany will face at home Japan.

The team coached by Julio Velasco will have one chance with reference to last weekend in Japan. Nicolas Uriarte joint the team directly from Argentina this week while Demian Gonzalez returned from Japan to Buenos Aires.

In Germany the same changes as Argentina does among the 12 players of all weekends will participate of the matches Argentina - Germany with Jan Zimmermann nor the libero Markus Steuerwald being part of the roster of 14 players but Tim Borshog and Ferdinand Tille that were absent in Argentina will return to the team as Sebastian Kuhner, Dirk Westphal and Marvin Prolingheuer.

Most of the countries are trying the best combination of players towards the World Championship that will start end of August in Poland with 12 players when they play away and including 14 when they are at home.
