ARGENTINE CHANCES TO GO ON AT THE FIVB WORLD LEAGUE

Argentina celebrating their good balance in Pool D

Buenos Aires, Argentina June 23, 2014 - Facing the last and sixth weekend of the Intercontinental Round of the FIVB World League 2014, Argentina that already showed a very positive balance with a record of win-loss 7-3 is getting ready for the last two matches v France with both teams having chance of qualifying for the next Round in Australia even though France stands on top with 3 more points but all will depend on the result of such matches in Europe.

With five weekends - 10 matches ended, France stands with 26 points in Pool D followed y Argentina with 23. France won the two first matches played in Mendoza on the first weekend of this season's competition.

Apart from the last weekend matches the fact that Argentina stands with changes until the last weekend is a positive sign of the first international competition coached by Julio Velasco, mainly changing players on all weekends to evaluate their performances and output towards the next World Championship to be held in Poland starting end of August.

Argentina stands until now as in the year 2006 edition (the best season until then with the same quantity of victories) and 2009 while the best results were obtained in the year 2011 with a record of win-loss record of 9-3.

The goal is not easy, really France has shown until now that they are a very talented and demanding team but Velasco at the end of the second straight victory in Germany emphasized that Argentina wants to fulfil this goal. "We will try to defeat France, even though they are the best team of Pool D". The Argentine team is travelling this Monday from Berlin to Paris to start training as soon as possible in the next Friday's venue.
