ARGENTINA WON THE SILVER MEDAL AT THE YOUTH'S SOUTH AMERICAN CHAMP

Tarapoto, Peru, July 7, 2014 - After defeating Colombia in a tie breaker at the last match of the South American Youth's Girls Championship, the first one of a series of age-group continental competitions that include all age group double-gender championships during this 2014 that qualify for the same quantity of 2015 World Championships Argentina not only qualified for next year's World Championship but won the Silver Medal with five victories over six matches. In a Formula of an only Pool of the six countries and with the victory of Brazil over Peru, Brazil finished first undefeated winning the Gold Medal. With Colombia winning the first two sets Argentina reacted and the match ended 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-14, 15-5).

Argentina lost an only match v the Champion Brazil and even though this Sunday they had a great start Colombia prevail to win the first two sets.

The girls coached by Mauro Silvestre showed their utmost in the last three sets of the evening after a bad start.
