Boyaca, Colombia, July 19, 2014 - In a day with very bad weather, including some rain could stop at this beautiful sightseeing of Blanca Beach next to Tota Lake a very intensive first day of the last stop of the 2014 very long season of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour with good results for Argentine pairs.

A total of 22 doublé-gender matches were played in the three fields prepared up to the minimum detail by the organizacion carried dout by Indeportes Boyaca together with the Colombian Volleyball Federation, the Tota City Hall and Boyaca Región authorities.

After the first day finished at the men's competition, Salazar-Golindano (Ven) in Pool A, De Paula-Sabino (BRA) in Pool B, Del Coto-Mehamed (ARG) and Carmona-GIL (COL) in Pool C and Fayola-Rangel (VEN) in Pool D stand on top of their respectively pools with ideal ranking. At the women's Maia-Maestrini (BRA) in Pool A, Zonta-Puntin (ARG) in Pool B, Perez-Agudo (VEN) in Pool C and Galindo-Galindo (COL) and Rivas-Pazdirek (CHI) in Pool D, also top their respectively pools.

Among the host teams, the Galindo sisters obtained two victories against their also home pair Ardila-Avednaño and Valderrama-Valero as the Chilean Pazdirek-Rivas in the same Pool D. They will face each other this Saturday on the fight to top the Pool.

The Brazilian Maia-Maestrini showed their utmost and that they are the top team of the competition and with two victories they head towards the Podium maintaining their leadership in the South American Tour 2014.

At the men's Brazilian competition among their teams, BRA 2 De Paula-Sabino could overcome BRA 1 Araujo-Barbosa in a tie-breaker leading Pool B. Brazil also fight for a new title during this season among the men's pairs.

The Chilean Salinas-Tobar were overcome by VEN 2 Salazar-Golindano in a tie-breaker. VEN 2 also overcame ARG 2 Aulisi-Aveiro.

The men's competition intensity was seen at the first 10 matches (the first three two) with five tie-breakers with a total of 6 in the first day 16 matches played. Among the women's only there were three tie-breakers.

This Saturday matches will start at 8.30 closing the preliminary round and playing the First Round (Quarter-Finals).
