Las Panteras closed their first Puerto Rico with a record of win-loss 1-2

Carolina, Puerto Rico, July 2, 2014 — Netherlands overcame Argentina 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 26-24) and closed the first weekend of the World Grand Prix with a perfect record of 3 victories in three matches in Pool K.

Key Points

· This will be the first match between Argentina and Netherlands in the World Grand Prix.

· This is a match between the joint-numbers 18 on the World Ranking list.

The Dutch squad working with service consistency created problem in Argentina game system and also stabilized its block to dominate the first set.

In the second set, Argentina improved his game until half of the episode; Netherlands again pressed his game to clinch the set.

In the third set, the South American brought better control at reception, to have better offensive options. Eventually the pressure of the Netherlands in their decisive points was back in their favor. Argentina headed 24-21, but several blocks and five straight points gave the match to the Netherlands.

Netherlands closes topping pool K with 9 points (three perfect 3-0), and now will play Pool L in Leuven, Belgium, facing again Argentina (5th with 3 points), and also Canada and the host country of Belgium.
