Mar del Plata, Argentina, August 3, 2014 - The Argentine Seniors' Men Team coached by Julio Velasco started the final preparation phase for the World Championship that will start in Poland August 30th. The first series of friendlies will take place for the light blue - white team jersey in Mar del Plata facing in three friendly matches at Mar del Plata Sport Centre, Canada on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and therefore the national team is already hosted in that resort city since this Sunday noon time.

Monday and Wednesday matches will take place at 22.00 live broadcast by TyC Sports while on Tuesday - without television - the match was programmed for 19.00. Canada already played a friendly - to four sets - v the Argentine Team that is getting ready to participate of the Pan-American Cup - with the addition of Luciano De Cecco. Argentina won this warming up match.

With 14 players - as Facundo Conte stayed in Buenos Aires to keep recovering from his ankle - the Argentine team will train for first time in Mar del Plata venue at 19.00.

On Monday, there will be a Press Conference at 11.00 prior to the morning training at the Sport Centre to launch the series that will finish in Buenos Aires city.

Next week Argentina will keep training and playing friendly matches in Brazil arriving to Sequama on Monday, August 11th.

Argentine World Championship first round matches:

The Argentine Seniors' will make their World Debut on Sunday, August 31st v Venezuela at 16.30 local time in Wroclaw where all the First Round for the team of Julio Velasco will play.

Their second match will take place September 2nd at 13.00 v Serbia while on Thursday, September 4th they will face Camerom. Australia will be the rival on Saturday, Sept. 6th also at 13.00 closing the first round on Sunday at 16.30 v the host team of Poland.
