The Argentine Seniors' Las Panteras were welcomed by the City Mayor Santiago Carasatorre

Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, August 6, 2014 - The Argentine Seniors' Las Panteras are ready and eager of making their 2014 debut in the first ever World Grand Prix Intercontinental Round in Argentina at Parque Eva Peron, Lomas de Zamora Stadium this weekend, August 8th - 10th. The girls trained for the first time at the venue as they arrived yesterday from Europe and everything is ready for the great party.

Today, after their training and with the presence of the City Mayor Santiago Carasatorre - that welcomed officially Las Panteras giving them presents from Lomas Voley, the team that represents the city at the Argentine League, took place the Press Conference. FeVA authorities were also present at the event that showed a great interest of all local and national Media.

"We want to thank the Argentine Volleyball Federation that once more chose Lomas de Zamora as venue for an international event, like they did this year at the FIVB World League" started expressing the Mayor to go on adding: "Our stadium makes us very proud and every time someone from outside comes they congratulate us for the facilities we offer. We feel very satisfied because we bet a lot for sport. We are very proud that we can compete here in this World Grand Prix and sure, all will feel the love and welcoming of Lomas people in this great event".

Fabian Ramon then emphasized: "We are at a very special and important moment for Argentine Women's Volleyball. We always wished, since the beginning of the FeVA to fulfil such an event that will help the growth of all Argentine Women volleyball and thanks to the effort of each and every one, mainly of Lomas de Zamora support we fulfil this engagement that leaves behind our pending debt".

Orduna meanwhile added: "There is a lot of organization and seriousness working here. There is a sport policy that not only heads towards the age-group athletes, to the social sport but also and mainly to the high standard and high output because it is the mirror of our youngest". With relationship to the matches of this weekend, the Argentine coach mentioned that there is a lot of expectation. "We have three rivals we know already. The playing level is more or less the same so it will be a great party with parity among the teams. We have already learnt from the first two weekends and it is a very good moment to show all we grew" he went on saying.

At the end Nizetich added as representative of the players: "We are very exciting and want to start playing in front of our fans. We feel very comfortable and we have been treated with respect. We are ready to give a great party" she expressed with emotion.

In the evening training at the playing venue will go on for all four teams of Pool N.
