WORLD GRAND PRIX OPEN AIR COMPETITION FOR THE CHILDREN

U 13 - U 16 age-group volleyball party in Lomas

Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 11, 2014 - Another activity - along with the Metropolitan competition held for age-group at the Microestadio - included today as part of the great party for the first ever FIVB World Grand Prix held in Argentina, a friendly event at the open air of the Eva Peron Park that surrounds Lomas de Zamora Stadium for over 500 children playing volleyball all day in a perfect "children day" celebrated as part of the premier annual event held by the International Volleyball Federation for the best National Women Teams of the World.

This Saturday also took place the Junior Grand Prix, also organized for the youngest, organized between the Organizing Committee of this international event, the Argentine Volleyball Federation and the Metropolitan Volleyball Federation in 20 fields settled for this weekend at the athletics track in the huge Lomas Park.

Double-gender children of 15 different Metropolitan Clubs including U 13, U 14 and U 16 enjoyed of a day full of volleyball playing from noon to about 16.00 without competing but as an entertainment sport activity. Then, all teams, each one with their jerseys and flags moved to the Microestadio to watch free of charge both Saturday matches, Cuba v Peru and Argentina-Canada. The victory of Las Panteras closed a perfect day for these children.

The children also took part of the campaign "Let's play together in teams against gender violence", an activity that also was an important activity at the World Grand Prix weekend. As part of the campaign all children joint the activity of showing a red card to gender violence.
