Franetovich and Palacios are part of the official roster representing Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 11, 2014 - Once more Argentina participates of the Pan-American Cup organized by the NORCECA that will start this Monday in Baja California, Mexico. Argentina debut will be on Tuesday represented by a combination group that is growing daily and includes a U 23 and Support Seniors' Team playing v Venezuela.

The Argentine Roster, coached by Hernan Ferraro, is the following including 12 players:

Setters: Demian Gonzalez, Juan Finoli
Opposite players: Pablo Kukartsev, Luciano Zornetta
Middle spikers: Maximiliano Gauna, Facundo Imhoff, Federico Franetovich
Wing spikers: Gonzalo Quiroga, Rodrigo Villalba, Cristian Poglajen, Ezequiel Palacios
Libero: Franco Lopez

Ferraro, in the official launching Press Conference expressed: "We have been working for a long period already with a large group of volleyball players heading towards the World Championship to be held in Poland end of August. For this competition we have gathered a very interesting team, thinking on facing very good teams like USA, Cuba and Venezuela among others so we have lots of expectations on seeing our level for this event".

The nine teams that participate were divided in three Pools and Argentina stands in Pool C having free the first day. Then on Tuesday at 17.00 local time they will face Venezuela and on Wednesday, Canada - that played against Argentina as visiting team in a friendly tour last week (Mar del Plata venue).

Meanwhile Pool A will see Mexico, Colombia and USA while Pool B will face Cuba, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.

The best two teams of each of the three pools will participate at the second round while the third ones will play for the 7th place. ç
