ARGENTINA ARRIVED AND TRAINED IN WROCLAW'S WORLD CHAMP VENUE

Wroclaw, Poland, August 29, 2014 - The Argentine Seniors' Men Team, coached by Julio Velasco, arrived today to the venue where it will participate of Pool A at the World Championship that will take place in seven cities of Poland, August 30th - September 21 and as soon as they were hosted they started training for their debut on Sunday v Venezuela at 11.30 Argentine time.

The team travelled from Moscow via Frankfurt to Wroclaw with the same 14 players that have been training hard, first playing a friendly series in Saquarema, Brazil, then one week in Buenos Aires and ending last Wednesday the second very demanding friendly series of matches v Russia. Therefore they are well prepared and confident for the premier international competition organized by the International Volleyball Federation.

Their two friendly series took place against the title holder of the Olympic Games and second runner-up meaning the best two teams of the world.

Argentina will play the first round of the World Championship against Venezuela, Cameron, Australia (coached by the Argentine coach Jon Uriarte) Serbia and the host team, Poland, that opens the competition playing v Serbia at the Warsaw National Stadium, in front of over 65,000 spectators that bought all tickets long ago.

"We have had strong and hard training, we played against the best two teams of the world, and we grew a lot apart from the result of these two friendly series. We try to improve every detail, we are very happy to be here and full of hopes with the start of the competition" expressed the setter, Nicolas Uriarte that will face his father in Pool A as coach of the Australian Team. It is the second time that Argentina and Uriarte's team of Australia play a World Championship match as they opened the 2002 one that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
