Wroclaw, Poland, August 30, 2014 - This Sunday at 11.30 Argentine time, Argentina will have its debut match against a "classical" South American rival, Venezuela, live broadcast by Fox Sports. The team coached by Julio Velasco will play at the Centennial Hall, where 7,000 viewers will enjoy the matches of Pool a that also include Cameron, Australia, Serbia and the host team of Poland.

Poland won today its first match in an historical venue opening the Men World Championship this Saturday evening overcoming Serbia in front of over 65,000 local fans in a soccer stadium, the National Warsaw Stadium, 3-0.

Argentina today trained in the afternoon, watched videos of their rivals and then the opening match of Poland v Serbia at the Hotel Orbis after dinner.

"We are very happy that finally Fox Sports will broadcast live the match because it was very hard to settle as at the same time we are participating of our volleyball World Championship, the Basketball World Championship, with Argentina is also taking place. The high fee for television rights also did not help. I was calm because I knew that somehow the problem would be solved by the merchandise Enterprise that support us because they were looking all the chances opening at the end a new volleyball broadcaster in Argentina and therefore it is great news. We were always confident that the World Championship was going to be viewed in Argentina and we were right. All worked towards fulfilling this goal and people like Fabian Scoltore helped a lot. Sometimes time is not the right but now all is settled" confirmed FeVA President Juan Antonio Gutiérrez.

Playing formula for the first two rounds: the first four of Pool A will qualify for the next round. If Argentina finishes in the first or second place, it will then go on playing in Pool E in Lodz against the third or fourth of Pool D (Italy, Iran, Belgium, USA, Puerto Rico and France). If Argentina finishes third or fourth, it will also go to Pool E but in Bydgoszcz, playing against the first or second, also of Pool D.

In Pool E out of the four teams three will go on but the fourth will be eliminated of the competition.
